ISBM University holds international conference on New Education Policy: Challenges and Opportunities in Higher Education.
SCHOOL of Arts and Humanities of ISBM University organised an international conferenceon National Education Policy: Challenges and Opportunities in Higher Education.
The conference was inaugurated by Vice-Chancellor of the university Dr Anand Mahalwar by lightening lamp before the portrait of Maa Saraswati. Scholars. students and members of the faculty across the globe participated in the conference.American University of Sovereign Nations, Japan Professor Ryo Takahashielaboratedthe higher education profile prevailing in Japan. He emphasised on value education as the basic of higher education. He also emphasised the role of parents in the professional upbringing of children. Government of Japanplays an important role in nurturing the talents in the country. Noted PsychologistDr Santa Misra elaborated on the National Education Policy as an instrument for emotional, social and economic development of students. She emphasised on the skill development of students. Professor Irina L Pervova of SPB State University, Russia, made a comparative discussion on the higher education of India and Russia. Professor Swati Chakroborty of Vancouver Canada spokeon the higher education pedagogy of Canada.
Vice-Chancellor Dr Anand Mahalwar spoke on the prospects of higher education in the light of New Education Policy 2020. Registrar Dr B P Bhol focused on the inclusive curriculum, bridge courses and more financial assistance to the scholars.He emphasised onaccreditation autonomy for higher education institutions emphasising for increase in Gross Enrollment Ratio. National research foundation will boost innovation and research. Scholars presented research papers on the theme. Joint Registrar Dr Rani Jha summarised the inferences of the paper during the valedictory session.
